Getting to know Molly Julien

I believe therapy should feel like a safe and supportive space where you can show up as yourself without judgment. I work collaboratively with clients to help them better understand their thoughts, emotions, relationships, and patterns while developing tools for lasting growth and healing. My practice focuses on supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and self-esteem concerns. I use evidence-based approaches tailored to each client’s goals, personality, and pace. I value authenticity, empathy, and creating a comfortable therapeutic relationship where clients feel genuinely heard and supported.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I provide a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients can feel comfortable being themselves. My approach is collaborative, practical, and individualized — I believe therapy works best when clients feel genuinely understood and supported, while also gaining tools and insight they can apply in everyday life. I work from an integrative perspective, drawing from evidence-based approaches while also considering the connection between mental health, stress, relationships, lifestyle, nervous system regulation, and overall wellness. Sessions are tailored to each client’s unique goals and needs rather than a “one size fits all” approach. I value creating a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust, authenticity, and open communication. Whether someone is navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, life transitions, relationship stress, burnout, or simply feeling overwhelmed, my goal is to help them feel more grounded, understood, and empowered moving forward.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

The first few sessions are focused on getting to know you as a whole person — your current concerns, history, stressors, strengths, relationships, lifestyle factors, and goals for therapy. I take a collaborative and individualized approach, as I believe treatment works best when it is tailored to each client’s unique needs rather than following a rigid formula. Sessions are conversational, supportive, and goal-oriented. Depending on what a client is working through, we may focus on gaining insight into patterns, developing practical coping tools, improving emotional regulation, processing difficult experiences, strengthening relationships, or building healthier routines and boundaries. I often incorporate evidence-based approaches while also considering the connection between mental health, nervous system regulation, physical wellness, and daily life stressors. Some sessions are more insight-oriented and reflective, while others are more focused on problem-solving, skill-building, or navigating immediate challenges. My goal is to create a space where clients feel comfortable, understood, and supported while also helping them make meaningful and sustainable progress outside of sessions.
