Molly Muldoon, LICSW, LCSW - C

Psychotherapist
MD
My name is Molly Muldoon and I am a mental health therapist striving to support and partner with others as they learn more about who they are and bloom into their most authentic selves. I approach therapy with a trauma-informed foundation of acceptance and mindfulness and serve as your travel guide on a journey of self-exploration. I believe that developing a nonjudgmental understanding of who we are and what we truly value steers us towards more meaningful connections with ourselves and the world around us. I appreciate the uniqueness of every individual and tailor treatment to each client’s needs. I received my BA in psychology and human development from the University of Maryland in College Park, and an MSW from the University of Maryland in Baltimore. I am a clinically licensed social worker in the state of Maryland (LCSW-C) and in the state of Massachusetts (LICSW). I have experience in both private and community clinic settings and have worked with teens and adults living with depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, dissociative disorders, and personality disorders, as well as brain trauma and chronic pain conditions. I primarily utilize a combination of motivational interviewing (MI), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and somatic psychotherapy as well as trauma-informed, person-centered, and mindfulness-based practices in order to develop courses of treatment that are individually customized to my clients' goals. Areas of treatment for both teens and adults include but are not limited to: OCD, PTSD, generalized anxiety, panic attacks, depression, grief, emotional disturbance, life transitions, relationship issues, self-esteem, chronic stress, and women’s issues.
