Are you struggling with anxiety, the effects of trauma, or stress to the point of experiencing panic attacks? If so, you're not alone. I specialize in helping motivated, insightful adults who want to better understand how their past has impacted them. I understand that panic attacks can be incredibly disruptive and frightening, making it difficult to function in daily life. They can also be isolating and hinder your ability to connect with others. I am here to help you understand your panic attacks and develop strategies to manage them. Together, we will identify your triggers and create coping mechanisms tailored to your needs. As a therapist and founder of Southern Maryland Mental Health, LLC, I offer individual and family therapy using a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Brainspotting and EMDR, to help you reach your goals. I also have a passion for supporting young adults transitioning to college and navigating the unique stressors of college life. Additionally, I have a deep understanding of the challenges and strengths associated with an autism diagnosis. I am committed to helping adults and families navigate the complexities of autism and support them in reaching their full potential. If you or your child are seeking a therapist experienced with autism, I would be honored to meet with you. I hold a Master's degree in School Psychology from Millersville University and a Bachelor's degree from York College of Pennsylvania. Since 2007, I have worked in public schools, gaining extensive experience in school neuropsychological assessment. I am trained in Brainspotting, have completed Phases 1 and 2 of EMDR training, and am currently working toward EMDR certification.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I strive to help my clients feel safe and comfortable. During our initial sessions we explore the issues at hand, and collaborate to create a plan for addressing them in a way that helps you get your life back. Most of my clients see a gradual lifting of symptoms within the first month and sustained improvement thereafter.
