Mucella received her M.A. in Psychological Counseling in 2020 and her MEd. in Mental Health Counseling in 2021 at Columbia University. Mucella has over 3 years of experience providing counseling and working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including multicultural and multilingual individuals, ranging from adolescents to adults and the elderly, with a primary focus on adults. She also has experience providing services to individuals struggling with a wide range of issues.
Mucella has trained in private practice, a school setting, and a university campus. She utilizes an integrative approach which includes Person-centered therapy, REBT, ACT, EFT, IFS, SFBT, mindfulness, and psychodynamic. She personalizes orientation according to the clients' needs
Mucella creates a comfortable environment for her clients by being genuine and establishing a therapeutic connection. She strives to be present for her clients with compassion and objectivity. Mucella provides a safe space by openly communicating that it is okay to speak their truth, even within a professional therapeutic relationship. Mucella encourages direct conversations, including those about the nature of their professional relationship and its impact on the client's experience. This respectful and supportive environment allows clients to feel empowered as the authors of their journey and healing.
Mucella's goals in treating clients are to ensure they make consistent progress and become aware of their growth. Another key goal is to help clients recognize their patterns and cycles and to guide them in resolving these issues. She also aims to provide psychoeducation, enabling clients to accept their circumstances and take committed actions to better manage their emotions.
