Getting to know Dr. Naaz Mirreghabie

Hello, my name is Naaz Mirreghabie. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and am extremely passionate about mental health. I earned my Master's in Social Welfare from the University of California, Los Angeles, and Doctor of Social Work from Tulane University.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I truly believe that we live in a challenging times. What philosophies and tools we have been raised with are often not serving us in this new age. This doesn't mean we have to suffer, but it does mean we need to adapt the skills and strengths we have to new problems. I am a big proponent of the outdoors. I enjoying unplugging and spending a night under the stars.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Therapy begins with building a foundation of trust. Depression, anxiety, relationship stress... there are endless reasons to seek therapy. I offer a safe and neutral environment to explore the complexity of human existence. In a non-judgmental environment we will have the opportunity to support you in determining your values, examining your patterns, setting attainable goals, and working towards sustainable and meaningful change. Committing to change through therapy can help you find relief from emotional distress, develop adaptive skills, and find practical solutions. Because everyone is different, I customize my therapy to fit your needs and goals. I use various schools of thought and techniques to support you in making your life and relationships more effective and fulfilling.
