Nadine Whint, LMSW

Psychotherapist
MD
I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) and an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach. As a Social Worker, I have experience working in various settings: schools, community-based programs, outpatient mental health clinics, and an inpatient psychiatric unit. In my various roles, I’ve conducted individual and group therapy, administered psychoeducational assessments, and developed psychoeducational workshops. My clinical interests are informed by my integrative approach to mental health, specifically the connection between mental health and nutrition. I am interested in working with adults with mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, eating-related disorders (i.e., binge eating, compulsive eating, disordered eating), and relational issues. Informed by person-centered therapy, I believe that my clients are whole and worthy despite their challenges. With the belief that my clients possess the skills and insight to navigate their challenges, my approach is to guide them on their journey. My therapeutic style is also informed by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, and Attachment Theory. As an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, my interest developed from my recognition of the transformative nature of foods in healing my body. I strongly believe that wellness is three-fold: the intersection of the mind, body, and soul. As a Health Coach, I believe that my clients are the experts, and my role is to guide them in making food and lifestyle changes to feel their best. With my strong social work background, I take a unique approach to coaching by integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution Focused Therapy to help clients set clear intentions and unpack any barriers to their wellness goals. I am also trained in Restorative Circles and have facilitated women’s groups and workshops on wellness topics. I earned my Master of Social Work (MSW) at Fordham University, Master of Clinical Psychology at Loyola University Maryland,
