Getting to know Nathan Johnson
I believe in not just giving okay treatment, but the best available. That's why I love matching your needs with the best type of therapy that's also backed by research to truly help you. With that, you're still the expert on you and your life, so you bring your experiences, and I'll bring my knowledge. Together, we can figure out how to help you get exactly what you're wanting in life.
I specialize in working with teens and parents, having worked with them most of my life in one form or another-from therapy and mentoring to teaching English abroad. That being said, I also enjoy working with adults on any number of challenges that might be bothering you, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, suicidal thoughts, self-harm, conduct issues/parent coaching, OCD, life adjustments, identity questions, or anything else causing distress.
I hold a Master's in Social Work from the University of Utah, which has equipped me with the skills and knowledge to provide effective support.
Whatever it is, let me help you. And if there's something I don't have the proper expertise in, I have no problem admitting that and directing you to someone who can help so you don't have to waste your time.
What should a new client know about working with you?
I like to consider myself as your metaphorical mountain guide on your journey to better mental health. You tell me where you want to go in life and what you want to achieve in session, and I'll help guide you there. Along the way we can speed up, slow down, or change course depending on your feedback on how things are going. Then, since therapy isn't meant to last forever, once you feel like you've got all you need from me we'll be done.

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
