Getting to know Paige Hennis

Hi I'm Paige! As your therapist, it is my goal to see you become a better version of you and aide you in navigating life challenges. I have worked with clients through many walks of life and varied needs. I utilize many therapeutic techniques based off the individual's needs including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person Centered Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Dialectal Behavioral (DBT), and mindfulness while focusing on the overall well -being of the individual. I received my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from University of Colorado at Boulder and my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Argosy University in Denver. I have experience working with children, adolescents and adults in a variety of clinical capacities. I am licensed in Virginia with 10+ years of professional work experience in a variety of professional settings to include psychiatric hospitals, foster care, crisis response, residential facilities, group homes, community based settings (Intensive In Home), and outpatient office settings. I have experience in helping clients of all ages with stress and anxiety, family conflicts, trauma and abuse, & parenting issues. In addition, I have treated a variety of mental health diagnoses with sound clinical interventions. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage.
