“My daughter and I have been working with Pamela since 2022. She’s not only knowledgeable, professional and amazing with problem solving but Pamela has treated us with dignity, integrity and compassion. When my child began working with Pamela at 4 years old, she scored low on receptive/expressive language, was explosive and exhibiting extreme self injurious behaviors, her tantrums were so extreme police were getting called on me. Tantrums would last an hour on average. I had to walk on eggshells everyday. Worst of all, I was on the verge of giving up on the medical system when it came to my daughter. Pamela’s care, creativity and work ethic truly changed our lives. Now my daughter talks, reads, can participate in activities with other children and has grown her emotional intelligence to amazing levels. We owe so much to Pamela. She’s not only a great provider, Pamela is easily one of the best you will find in Michigan.”

Getting to know Pamela Jeremias

My passion is supporting kids through life’s big feelings, whether that is anxiety, trauma, behavioral challenges, or big transitions. I specialize in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT) and infant mental health, and I take a child-centered, relationship-based approach that honors each child’s unique story. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from Michigan State University, which has equipped me with the skills to provide compassionate, evidence-based care. My goal is to create a safe, playful, and nurturing space where children feel seen, heard, and empowered. I also work closely with caregivers to strengthen attachment and build lifelong skills for emotional resilience.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I’m passionate about helping children, teens, and families heal, connect, and grow. I believe that every child is unique, and I tailor interventions to meet each child’s specific needs. My work integrates play-based techniques to foster emotional regulation, resilience, and psychological healing. I also support children’s growth across emotional, social, and cognitive domains while empowering parents and caregivers with tools and insights to deepen connection and manage difficult behaviors. I support children navigating big emotions, ADHD, anxiety, grief, identity struggles, and life transitions. I also work closely with caregivers to strengthen communication, build co-regulation skills, and tailor strategies to each child’s unique needs. I create a safe, engaging space where kids feel understood and supported. For virtual sessions, I use interactive tools like virtual sand trays, stories, and games to help children express themselves and build emotional skills. I stay closely connected with parents throughout the process to ensure therapy moves at a pace that’s right for your child.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I specialize in working with young children, adolescents, and teens who are navigating trauma, attachment challenges, behavioral and emotional struggles, ADHD, anxiety, depression, and grief. My passion is supporting healing within the parent-child relationship through trauma-informed care, coregulation strategies, and developmentally appropriate discipline. I help families build stronger connections, manage difficult behaviors, and support children’s growth across emotional, social, and cognitive domains. Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and it’s normal to have questions or feel unsure. In our first session, my goal is to create a safe, welcoming space where you and your child feel supported. We’ll take time to get to know one another, talk about what brought you to therapy, and begin to explore your child’s strengths and challenges. I’ll explain how therapy works and how we’ll set goals together. There’s no rush; we’ll move at a pace that feels right. Therapy is a partnership. I’m here to guide and support your family, one step at a time.
