Getting to know Patricia Brown

Hello, I'm Patricia. I'm so glad you're here. I know that seeking therapy can be a big step, and I'm here to support you every step of the way. I graduated with my master's degree in Social Work from Spalding University in 2005, and since then, I've dedicated my career to helping individuals and families navigate life's challenges. I became a full-time therapist in 2014, and my journey has taken me through various settings, including in-home family therapy, an inpatient adolescent psychiatric facility, and grief counseling with a Hospice facility. These diverse experiences have enriched my practice and deepened my understanding of the complexities of mental health and human behavior. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Certified Social Worker-Clinical, and Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have specialized training in play therapy, EMDR therapy, and multiple other interventions, all of which are integrated into my trauma-informed practice. My approach is holistic and client-centered, focusing on creating a safe and supportive environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment. I work with adults, adolescents, and teenagers, addressing a wide range of issues including anger management, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, children's and adolescent mental/behavioral health, depression, eating disorders, family relationships, grief and bereavement, life transitions, multicultural and diversity issues, perinatal support, PTSD, spirituality, stress, and trauma. Whether you're dealing with a specific issue or just feeling overwhelmed by life's demands, I'm here to help you find your way through. I believe in the power of therapy to foster healing and growth, and I'm committed to working collaboratively with you to achieve your goals.
