“I have never had any experience with a Social Worker and was very hesitant to seek help, because in my culture we pray and seek help from my Heavenly Father. My family wasn't supportive, but now they see the change in me, they're happy for me. They're now even encouraging me to continue do whatever I need to do to live a happier and fulfilling life. After talking to Mr. Paul, I have learned skills to deal life challenges. I am happier than I have been in a very long time. I highly recommend him, because he is patient, kind, and very knowledgeable on his profession. What I like best about Mr. Paul he LISTENS TO ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Getting to know Paul Castaldi

I have over 25 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and couples/families. I enjoy helping people get more from life and overcome the things that interfere with their personal goals. I have been trained in many of the current evidence-based practices. Evidence-based practices go through rigorous clinical studies and have been shown to create measurable improvement. No evidence-based practice can help every person or every issue, but by being versed in several, I can tailor the approach to the specific issues of the individual. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from Boston University, which has provided a strong foundation for my clinical work. Seeking therapy is a big step for most people, and once they decide to seek out services, they usually want to start right away. That is why I prioritize the first meeting occurring as close as possible to the initial call—usually within a few days, but definitely within one week.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I like to collaborate with my clients. We decide together what issues to work on and how the goals will be attained. I help people learn how to solve their own issues so that they don't need me in their life every time a new problem comes along. Sessions can be as often as twice weekly or as little as once every other week based on the clinical necessity and the comfort level of the client. I am caring and supportive. I will always give straight answers and will recommend that someone goes elsewhere if I do not feel like I am able to help. I want all therapy session to be as brief and successful as possible even if it means that they transfer to a colleague. If I am working with a child below the age of 12, my focus is on helping the parents become more skilled in dealing with the child's problem rather than working with the child directly. This way the parent is better able to handle future problems without me.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I want to start with a session or two where I let you tell me why you are here and what you hope to change. I will also answer any questions. From there we will prioritize the goals and the best way to get there. If there is more than one option, we will discuss the pros and cons and you will decide which option. At that point I will help to guide you through the process of making changes. Progress is rarely linear and we will deal with new and more urgent issues as the come along.

Very professional and highly knowledgeable and recommended. I look forward to my sessions with him as he has been a great therapist.
I can’t say enough about how incredible working with Paul C. has been! I used to be totally against therapy and honestly thought the whole idea was a joke… but wow, was I wrong. Since starting with Paul, I’ve learned so much about managing my anxiety, embracing my vulnerabilities, and stepping into a version of myself that feels more confident, grounded, and genuinely happy. Paul has a gift — in such a short time, he’s helped me shift my mindset in ways I didn’t think were possible. Every session feels valuable, insightful, and even transformative. I genuinely look forward to every appointment, and I’m beyond grateful to have found someone as understanding, supportive, and skilled as Paul C
Paul is very professional and has always made me feel comfortable. He has the ability of listening to me carefully and then offering observations or suggestions.
Paul was amazing. I was dealing with a life crisis, and his calm and analytical approach helped me sift through the issues to the real problems. He helped me set priorities and provided constant encouragement. Though I am back to managing my life without his help, I miss our meetings.
Dr castaldi has been an amazing part of my healing journey! Super easy to talk to very understanding and very personable! I highly recommend
