Hi there, I'm Pia! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master's in Rehabilitation Counseling from South Carolina State University and an EdD in Educational Leadership and Administration from Drexel University. I am passionate about supporting all of my clients through challenges to experience healing and growth, helping them reach their full potential. My approach My therapeutic approach is client-centered. I will meet you with empathy and open-mindedness in a nonjudgmental and safe space. I believe in working collaboratively with my clients to identify treatment priorities and create a treatment plan to ensure a beneficial and rewarding experience. My focus I have a special focus on supporting clients with life and career transitions. I am a culturally competent therapist with specific experience working with BIPOC and veteran clients. My communication style My communication style is that of an active listener who listens without judgment. I provide a safe space to share your experiences and perspectives while working to understand your concerns and help you gain clarity on the issues. My journey to therapy I became a therapist to help adults through life transitions, based on my own experience as a young adult. My goals for you I am here to help you make progress toward your goals and gain skills to manage day-to-day challenges in your life. My first session with you Clients should expect a warm and welcoming presence in a nonjudgmental, safe space in the first session and throughout the therapeutic process. This session allows us to get to know each other and identify the goals for the therapeutic process.
