What should a new client know about working with you?

If you’ve experienced trauma or PTSD and it still affects your daily life—feeling on edge, experiencing intrusive memories, avoiding reminders, struggling with sleep, or feeling emotionally “shut down”—you don’t have to carry that burden alone. Therapy should feel safe, practical, and supportive. I provide a nonjudgmental space where you can be heard and respected as we work toward real relief and long-term healing. I specialize in treating trauma and PTSD, anxiety, and depression in preteens, teens, and adults, and I also work with couples and families when stress and conflict are affecting relationships. My approach blends CBT and DBT-informed coping strategies with a person-centered, strengths-based style—so we build skills you can use right away (grounding, emotion regulation, coping tools) while also addressing the deeper patterns trauma can create.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Clients often come to me for support with anger and emotional regulation, grief, family conflict, self-esteem, relationship concerns, and healing from abuse. I provide counseling in Spanish to clients who prefer it and want care without a language barrier. I accept Medicaid and aim to make getting started simple and accessible.
