What should a new client know about working with you?

DISCLAIMER: We are not accepting Medicare or Medicaid plans at this time. My path to becoming a therapist began with personal experiences, which include growing up in a Hispanic neighborhood in Queens, New York, hearing about the struggles within my community, and later experiencing the loss of a loved one. These experiences deepened my commitment to providing warm, strong mental health care. I bring a unique, holistic approach to each session, focusing on the patient as a whole person and drawing on their strengths as a source of ability to thrive and persevere.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

You and your goals are the starting point in our work together. I want you to know that you have the power to change, and that there's always someone here willing to listen and guide you. Together, we'll build a calm, balanced space where you feel free to express your emotions and know you're being heard. I draw on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing to help you feel grounded and supported. That flexibility carries through to how I tailor each session to your unique needs, situations, and goals for treatment. I also offer sessions in Spanish, as I'm bilingual.
