Psychologist
CA
Hi! I'm Rachel Richardson, a licensed clinical psychologist with a PsyD from Alliant International University. I have over 20 years of experience treating patients with a wide range of concerns, from adjustment issues to severe mental illness, working with people from incarcerated individuals to CEOs and everyone in between. I aim to help people become the best versions of themselves by guiding them to discover who they are and what that may look like based on their worldview and what matters most to them. Everyone is unique, and I treat each person as an individual, tailoring my approach to meet their specific needs. My approach I use an eclectic, holistic, present-oriented, and solution-focused approach when working with patients. Trained in health psychology, I address health issues such as insomnia, blood sugar instability, and activity level, alongside factors like social support and nurturing spiritual connections to the world, others, and ourselves. I help people align their actions with their values and priorities to achieve a satisfying life and a healthier relationship with their emotions and thoughts. My focus I enjoy working with busy professionals struggling with work/life balance, couples seeking to regain connection and improve communication, older adults, and individuals at turning points in their lives—such as marriage, pregnancy and postpartum, divorce, grief and loss, career changes, retirement, or changes in mobility or health status—who need help figuring out who they are and what to do next. Some of the disorders I regularly treat include insomnia, anxiety, depression, and ADHD. My communication style While I am empathetic and strive to make my patients feel truly heard and understood, I am also direct and gently confront when necessary.
