I am an individual and couple's therapist who believes that by understanding overwhelming situations, exploring unhealthy patterns, and receiving guidance to manage your day-to-day difficulties, you can heal, grow, and build resilience. With over 10 years in the mental health field as a psychotherapist and educator, I have worked with adults and couples struggling in their relationships and with depressive, anxiety, and post-traumatic challenges. I have also helped individuals and couples experiencing difficulty with communication, occupational, academic, stress-related situations, life transitions, and grief. I hold a Master's in Social Work from Fordham University, a Master's in Spanish Language and Literature, and a Master's in Education from Universidad Complutense Madrid, as well as a Bachelor's degree from Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca. Fostering a safe and judgment-free environment, I provide supportive therapy focusing on how difficult emotions and unwanted behaviors may have been shaped by past experiences. Additionally, I tailor sessions to your specific needs and what you want to change by offering problem-solving strategies and focusing on your strengths.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy helps modify unhealthy patterns that are affecting you as an adult. EMDR is a somatic approach that helps healing trauma and maladaptive memories. CBT enhances your ability to change unwanted emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. Strengths-Perspective and Problem-Solving strategies improve your capacity to cope with difficulties and build resilience.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

The first step is to book a free consultation/initial visit, which lasts 15 to 20 minutes. This appointment consists of a call (or video call) used as an opportunity to see what you are looking for, how I can be helpful, and answer any questions that you may have. This call helps you determine if we are a good fit. Once you have decided working with me, you will enter a healing journey of exploration, understanding, and transformation that aims to achieve your potential and well-being. Our work should feel practical, relatable, and growth-oriented; providing you with constructive tools to weave into your daily routine. Using an eclectic approach, I will tailor our sessions to your individual needs.
