As a Clinical Social Worker, I have provided counseling services within various agencies since 2002. My work is focused on enhancing the emotional well-being of those experiencing combat trauma, grief and loss, domestic violence, PTSD, anxiety, depression, and childhood trauma. My training has afforded me the opportunity to assist individuals and families in establishing a foundation for the long-term management of their mental health needs. I hold a Master's in Social Work from the University of Maryland School of Social Work. I am a Certified Grief Recovery Specialist and trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Psychodynamic Psychotherapy (PP), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Intimate Partner Violence (IPV). I have completed Level 1 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy, which I currently use in my work. Additionally, I am a Certified Specialist in Anger Management.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My goal is to create an environment that is trusting, and safe, one that facilitates the establishment of a positive and supportive therapeutic relationship. This therapeutic alliance assists patients in being able to confront trauma in a manner that ultimately facilitates the possibility for change and promotes emotional healing within their lives.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

The process for engaging with clients is an initial free 15-minute consultation to discuss your needs for therapy, review the intake process and answer any questions you may have about myself and my practice.
