Getting to know Rebecca Marbach

I approach the therapeutic relationship as a partnership. I aim to provide a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you can be your authentic self. If you are feeling stuck in familiar patterns, I will invite you to explore thoughts, feelings, and core beliefs to gain clarity and work toward healing old wounds. I have a particular interest in complex and developmental trauma and their effects on adult relationships with self and others. I specialize in anxiety and panic, trauma and PTSD, relationship difficulties, chronic illness, issues affecting the LGBTQ+ community, and working with college students. I also have niche experience helping women of all ages and backgrounds navigate stress and burnout, life transitions, and relationship issues. As a clinician, I am trauma-informed and culturally affirming. I incorporate somatic and mindfulness-based approaches, as well as motivational interviewing, CBT, DBT, and psychodynamic frameworks in my practice. I can also utilize music therapy and creative arts approaches within treatment where appropriate, as I am a board-certified music therapist in addition to a licensed social worker. I earned my Master's in Social Work from New York University. You might be coming to therapy to talk to an objective listener and feel heard, seen, and validated. Maybe you're looking for something action-oriented-to identify goals, develop new coping skills, and get ?unstuck.? Regardless of your ?why,? we will work together as a team to face challenges that arise and take steps forward in your journey.
