“Sondermind is the only therapy I’ve ever had, but I trust my therapist. I’ve already recommended it to people around me, and I think the best thing is when I was on the fence about it, they reached out to me first, and gave me the little push I needed to move forward and after a month or two, I feel like I have a better understanding of myself.”

Getting to know Rebecca Mclane

Hello, I'm Becky. I often tell my clients that I am like a GPS - I can't tell you where to go, but I can help you get where you decide you want to go. I love working with people. Everyone has traveled a different road to become the person who sits in front of me, and I am so drawn to the unique experiences that each person shares. I am in awe and have so much respect for the lives of people who choose to work with me on a rough spot in the road they are traveling. I feel honored to be part of that journey for a time and to assist with making the journey easier. I listen to you. I care about you. I not only want to help with the current problem that has brought you to therapy, but I also want to teach you skills you can use in the future. I received my master's degree in social work from Ohio State University in 1987 and have worked either as a therapist or in administrative positions within the therapy field since then. Currently, I provide supervision for master's level therapists who are working toward independent licensure so that they can have their own practices. I specialize in working with adults, particularly women who are survivors of childhood abuse, and people of all genders struggling with substance use problems. I am part of the LGBTQ+ community and very comfortable working with people who are struggling with any issues around their sexuality or gender identity. I use current treatment approaches such as CBT therapy, but I also draw on approaches from Fritz Perls, Carl Rogers, Viktor Frankl, psychodynamic therapy, and inner child work. In a single session, I may combine various approaches, depending on what works best for the individual's situation. If you're ready to start your journey towards healing and growth, I'm here to help guide you along the way. Let's work together to make your path a little smoother.
