Getting to know Rebekah Lipsky

I am a warm, authentic, and empathic therapist here to help you move past the obstacles keeping you stuck. I support adults navigating major life transitions by guiding them to discover and use their personal power to initiate or adjust to changes involving relationships, school and work, health and diagnoses, place of residence, and more. I often work with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, grief, stress, anger, doubt, relationship issues, autism, and ADHD. My approach is integrative, combining techniques from various therapeutic interventions, with a frequent focus on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, which promotes psychological flexibility in the face of adversity. I hold a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Rochester.

What should a new client know about working with you?

**I DO NOT accept any form of insurance and am an out-of-network provider** When you work with me, you have someone who GETS IT. Not that long ago, I pushed the “start again” button on three major areas of my life. I can personally attest to the challenges AND triumphs of navigating big life transitions. And in our work together,  I am here to unconditionally accept and understand you and YOUR journey.  I value seeing each individual client in the context of their own life to show you that your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors make sense. I value your autonomy, always making sure that we are discussing, exploring, and working on what is important to YOU. I value empowering you to recognize that you ARE capable of achieving "better" and will support you in defining what "better" involves for you and moving you toward it. I value the therapeutic relationship as the most sacred part of treatment and aim to provide a safe, trusting, and collaborative therapeutic environment. Navigating the journey of big change involves the willingness to do things differently and it's okay if you don't know what that looks like yet. I am here to help and you don't have to go through this alone.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Once you schedule an appointment, I will reach out to you within 24 hours. Please note, your appointment is NOT confirmed until we speak. I will then send you the remaining forms that are required to be completed before the intake. After our initial appointment, we will work together to identify and move you in the direction of your goals. I will help you process and reflect on your experiences and will also be action-oriented and gently direct with you. Using evidence-based interventions and creative techniques tailored to you and your needs, I will teach you skills to help you effectively cope with emotions, challenge and shift unhelpful perspectives, accept the things that cannot be changed, develop more beneficial behavioral patterns, and establish and maintain a kinder relationship with yourself.

In-network insurances

Rebekah Lipsky, LMHC, LPC, LCPC is not in-network with any insurances

It’s common for mental health providers to be out-of-network. Many insurance plans offer out-of-network coverage, so you may get partially reimbursed. Learn more

Out-of-pocket fees and assistance
Initial session: $300 for 90 minutes
Ongoing session: $250 for 50 minutes

More information on payments and coverage

**PLEASE NOTE**: I am an out-of-network provider which means I DO NOT accept any form of insurance. All sessions are private pay, which means the appointment fee is paid in full at the time of the session. Many insurance plans offer out-of-network benefits, which means they will cover a portion of the cost when you see a therapist who doesn't have a direct contract with your insurance company. To ensure that this happens, I will send you a superbill every month that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Insurance companies often reimburse a percentage of the therapist's fee, usually after you meet an out-of-network deductible. For example, after you meet a $1,000 deductible, your insurance may reimburse 50-80% of the session cost. Contact your insurance provider to learn more about your eligibility for out-of-network benefits!
