“I have had only one experience with a married counselor and she was horrible. After meeting with her just once I knew my husband and I needed to find someone else. Dr. Burgess is an EXCELLENT therapist!!! He asked the right questions to draw out what needs to be address, give exercises to continue the work until our next session. He is not judgemental and is to talk to. I HIGHLY recommend him!!!!”

Hello, my name is Reginald Burgess. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with a Master's in Counseling from Johns Hopkins University. My specialty of interest is providing brief, short-term counseling services to individuals seeking support for anger issues, self-esteem challenges, and depression. I utilize many therapeutic techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Rational Emotive Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. I hope you will consider me as someone who can assist you in addressing the issues and concerns you are struggling with.
I have experience working with people from diverse backgrounds. My primary focus is working with men who have difficulty expressing and processing negative thoughts and feelings. I have a particular interest in working with first responders and members of the military.
I am motivated to join anyone who is motivated to take on life's challenges to become a better version of themselves! I am ready to take this journey with you!
What should a new client know about working with you?
After our first intake session we will develop a treatment plan designed to address your individual therapeutic needs by identifying objectives and goals to assess and monitor your counseling progress.

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
