Rena Brinson, LMSW, graduated from the University of Maryland with her Master of Social Work degree and is licensed in the state of Maryland.
Ms. Brinson's approach to therapy is strengths-based and person-centered. She has 12 years of experience working with individuals, families, groups, and organizations. She specializes in Mental Health and Community Organization and offers a unique combination of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral, Humanistic, Ecological, and System theories.
Ms. Brinson works with adolescents, adults, and seniors, focusing on clients challenged by depression, anxiety, PTSD, anger management, and grief and loss issues. Her goal is to promote healing and well-being as she supports her clients through times of adversity on their journey toward becoming healthier individuals.
What should a new client know about working with you?
Your first step toward healing is creating a personalized plan that addresses your unique needs. My goal is to facilitate a safe and supportive environment that empowers you to explore your innermost thoughts and feelings in our journey to healing.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
Our motto at TMG is "We'll meet you here!" Our goal at TMG is co-creating a strong therapeutic relationship, which we believe is foundational to the success of our client's treatment. Therefore, building a warm, supportive, and safe therapeutic environment requires designing treatment plans that are unique and specific to the individual client's needs. We engage in talk therapy in addition to utilizing an integrative approach of modalities with the client's specific treatment in mind.
