My journey in this profession began as a wilderness counselor for teens, and since then, I have dedicated my life to empowering and healing individuals from all walks of life. I hold a bachelor's degree in psychology (1984), a master's degree (1989), and a doctorate (2016), each step enriching my understanding and approach to therapy. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of serving as a consultant, expert witness, and clinical supervisor. I have also written various counseling programs for agencies and am a published author. My specialization lies in trauma therapy for both adults and children, and I employ a variety of therapeutic techniques including person-centered therapy, trauma-informed care, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I believe in a holistic and client-centered approach to therapy, where each individual's unique experiences and needs are at the forefront of our work together. My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings, heal from past traumas, and build a path towards a healthier and more fulfilling life.
