All prescriptions furnished by UpLift Behavioral Health care providers are issued in accordance with applicable federal and state law as well as UpLift Behavioral Health policy. Rita Nzuwah is a licensed clinical social worker with a passion for helping individuals, couples, and families navigate the stresses, challenges, hurts, and traumas of everyday life. An African-American, faith-based woman, Rita is especially dedicated to supporting minority women, couples, and families as they face life’s obstacles. Rita earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work from the University of Maryland. Her counseling philosophy centers on the belief that you are the expert of your own life. Rita’s role is to guide and support you in building the skills and confidence necessary to live your best life. She meets you where you are and helps you build on your own strengths and resources. Rita’s assessments and evaluations are psychosocial-spiritual in nature, reflecting her holistic approach to care.

I see patients through UpLift. When you create your profile, you will input your insurance information and the team will reach out with your copay amount. If you do not have insurance, I also take cash pay clients. The UpLift team will work directly with you to inform you of payments due. The prices for visits are dependent on your co-pay amount through your insurance. If you are a cash-pay client, our price ranges from $75 to $145 per visit
