Robert Daughenbaugh's mission is to save lives by supporting individuals struggling with addiction, with a focus on helping people recover from gambling and sports betting addiction as well as substance use disorders. He is a Licensed Independent Addiction Counselor and Clinical Supervisor in Arizona, as well as a nationally certified Master Addiction Counselor and Substance Abuse Professional, and holds a Master of Science in Addiction Counseling from Grand Canyon University and a Bachelor of General Studies from Indiana University. Since July 2023, Robert has served as Owner, Clinical Director, and Therapist at Embrace the Change Counseling Services, providing outpatient treatment for gambling and substance use disorders and drawing on techniques including REBT, CBT, DBT, EMDR, active listening, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness practices. His career also includes roles as Clinical Supervisor and Acting Clinical Director at Bridging the Hope Counseling Services, where he supervised a caseload of over 65 clients and provided clinical oversight for a team of more than 35 staff, as well as counseling positions at The Potter's House Substance Abuse Center, A Better Today Recovery Services, and The Crossroads, Inc., spanning outpatient, residential, and IOP settings. Robert brings extensive experience in intake assessments, treatment and discharge planning, group facilitation, crisis intervention, and clinical supervision, and he is a Disabled American Veteran who served in the U.S. Army from 1975 to 1984.
