Getting to know Rosanne Klein

Welcome. My therapy approach is grounded in empathy and collaboration. I specialize in helping adults and couples manage anxiety, depression, relationship stress, life transitions, and substance use disorder using evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing, among others. I have experience supporting clients through midlife transitions and the emotional and relational changes that can come with them. I help clients make sense of those changes that often arise during these transitions and work with clients who feel like they are not themselves anymore during what can feel like a tricky time and want grounded, validating support. I'm here not only to listen but to help you move forward. Together, we'll explore your challenges with honesty and curiosity, build on your strengths, and develop a clear plan toward lasting change. I will also challenge you to dig deeper, asking tough questions when/if necessary. I hold a Masters Degree in Science from Drexel University with an Advanced Mental Health Certification from the State University at Buffalo. I am also a Credentialed Alcohol and Substance Abuse Disorder Counselor (CASAC). Outside of my work, I enjoy spending time with my family and dogs, watching college football and the Knicks, cooking and exercising.

What should a new client know about working with you?

When we first meet, we’ll start with the basics—getting to know each other and understanding what brings you here. We will continue to explore from there. We'll go at a pace that feels right for you, though don’t be surprised if I challenge, encourage or push you out of your comfort zone a little. My role is to support you in moving toward the life you want to build, with help navigating through the hard stuff, building resilience and coping skills.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I believe that a strong therapeutic foundation begins with genuine connection. My approach to the therapeutic alliance is flexible and collaborative—tailored to meet each individual’s unique needs. We will work together to find the right modality, best approach and best pace to get you where you want and need to be utilizing various techniques and even humor when appropriate.
