Getting to know Rosario Sralla
My name is Rosario Sralla and I have been a mental health therapist for over 18 years. I am licensed in four states – Texas, North Carolina, Maine, and Arizona. I reside in Western North Carolina with my husband of 24 years, and our two giant Schnauzers. I have two sons - Ben and Jacob - who have been living with Jesus for 21 and 12 years, respectively. They were 30 and 34, respectively, when they changed addresses. I earned my Bachelor of Arts and Master of Science degrees in Psychology at Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi, Texas in 2008. My education and professional background in helping individuals with a wide array of mental health issues gives me a unique and effective approach to counseling. My personal life story enhances my approach, compassion, and empathy. I strive to provide my clients with treatment plans that they can use in their everyday lives to help them achieve their goals. My training in Integrative, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Motivational Interview Therapy complement my humanistic philosophy of Client-Centered ideology, and my life story helps me get deep into where my clients are so I can help guide them to a better place. My hope is to develop a warm and trusting relationship in which my client can feel comfortable and heard.
