Sandra earned her Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from Nyack College’s Alliance Graduate School of Counseling (AGSC), completing her internship at The Bowery Mission in 2021. Sandra’s diverse background also includes studies in Public Administration, Business Administration, as well as training in Paralegal/Litigation and Office Automation. What should a new client know about working with you?

I’m here to create a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you can feel heard and understood. My approach is collaborative — I believe in working together to tailor therapy to your unique needs and goals. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, or simply seeking personal growth, I’m committed to walking alongside you with empathy and respect. Progress looks different for everyone, and we’ll move at a pace that feels right for you. My goal is to empower you with tools and insights that can help you thrive both in and outside of our sessions.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

When we first meet, I like to take time to understand your story, challenges, and what you hope to achieve through therapy. This initial phase helps us build trust and clarify your goals. From there, we’ll collaboratively develop a plan tailored to your needs, using evidence-based techniques and approaches that fit your unique situation. Throughout our work together, I regularly check in with you to ensure the therapy feels helpful and adjust as needed. My goal is to create a flexible, supportive environment where you feel empowered to explore, heal, and grow at your own pace.
