Getting to know Sarah Bougher

I have 27 years experience working with adults in private practice and church settings. I specialize in anxiety, marriage therapy, relationship difficulties, setting healthy boundaries, and women's issues.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I am warm, friendly, and ask you questions to get to the bottom of your issue. I use a variety of modalities according to your issue. Many of my clients say that I have helped them to feel so much better than before they started coming to therapy.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I do an assessment at your first session to determine if we are good fit for each other. If we are, I use CBT, IFS, attachment theory and Gottman therapy going forward. My approach is relaxed and I may use more assessments to help determine the best approach for you. Many of my clients return to therapy when it is needed when they encounter a new problem they need to discuss. I like to start with any problems you are encountering and also find out what is working for you and not working for you. I combine these things to come up with the best solution for your unique situation.
