“Sarah is great! She’s Incredibly personable and - more importantly - she has been extremely helpful! The “homework” she’s assigns for practice outside of our sessions is actually useful. I feel genuinely heard, and at the same time, Sarah helps me dig deeper to identify the real source of something so we can figure out how to address that rather than just treating the symptoms. 10/10 highly recommend ??”

Getting to know Sarah Falzone

Disclaimer: Please anticipate the appointment to be 50 minutes long. Calling all OverThinkers! You’re a thoughtful, self-aware adult, trying hard to keep things together. But under the surface, you feel anxious, overwhelmed, and exhausted. You replay conversations, spiral about future “what ifs,” and carry the weight of others’ expectations while sidelining your own needs. You might feel stuck in repetitive relationship dynamics or find yourself struggling with trauma or addiction (your own or a loved one’s). You suspect that past experiences might be driving these patterns, and you’re ready to understand and change them. I help clients understand the “why” behind the anxiety, overthinking, and old patterns, not just manage the symptoms. We’ll explore their origins, how they’ve been trying to protect you, and how to build new ways of relating to yourself, your emotions, and to others. I hold a Master's in Addiction Counseling from Hazelden Betty Ford Graduate School and a Juris Doctor from William and Mary Law School, which inform my compassionate and comprehensive approach to care.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Clients often tell me they feel seen, understood, and surprisingly at ease early on in therapy. They describe gaining tools that actually work - ones that help them think and feel differently, not just cope. Over time, they start expressing themselves authentically, letting go of constant self-monitoring, and building relationships that feel safe and fulfilling.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Therapy with me is collaborative, down-to-earth, sometimes humorous (maybe even a bit irreverent!) and always focused on helping you feel more at home in your own mind and body. I'll support you in creating new ways of relating to yourself and others with more confidence, clarity, and intention.
