What should a new client know about working with you?

When you come to therapy with me, you’re not expected to have everything figured out — you just need to show up as you are. My approach is warm, direct, and collaborative. I specialize in generational trauma and trauma in all its forms, and I understand how past experiences can shape who you are today, even when you don’t always have the words for it. In our work together, you can expect: A safe, grounded space where your feelings and story are respected — not rushed or minimized. Curiosity over judgment. I won’t push you before you’re ready, but I will gently challenge you when healing requires it. An active partnership: we make sense of patterns together so you can break cycles, not repeat them. Practical tools + deeper work. You’ll gain skills to manage what’s overwhelming and explore the roots of what keeps you stuck. Consistency and compassion. Trauma doesn’t heal overnight, and you don’t have to do it alone. My goal is for therapy to feel like a place where you can breathe again — where the things you’ve carried for years finally begin to make sense, and where you start to feel more connected to yourself, your relationships, and the life you want. If you’ve reached a point where surviving isn’t enough and you’re ready to start living differently, I’m here to walk that path with you.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our work together begins before your first session. Once you schedule, you’ll receive initial paperwork to help me understand what you’re carrying and what you’re hoping to get out of therapy. 1. First session — getting grounded We start by slowing things down. You’ll share what feels comfortable, and I’ll ask thoughtful questions to get a sense of your history, patterns, and current challenges — especially how trauma may have shown up in your life or family. The goal is for you to feel heard, not rushed. 2. Collaborative goals — defining what healing means to you Together, we’ll identify what you want to change: whether that’s breaking generational cycles, feeling less overwhelmed, improving relationships, or learning how to feel safe in your own body again. Your goals guide the pace and direction of our work. 3. Building safety & regulation first Before we go deep, we make sure you have tools to support your nervous system. This might include grounding strategies, boundaries, emotional regulation skills, or insights into trauma responses. Healing is possible when your system feels safe — I don’t push you into pain without preparing you to hold it. 4. Going deeper — processing and understanding As trust grows, we explore the roots of what you’ve experienced. This may look like: uncovering family patterns and generational narratives understanding how trauma shaped your beliefs, relationships, or identity processing memories or experiences at a pace that feels manageable You’re always in control of how far and how fast we go. 5. Integration — practicing change in real life We translate insight into action. You’ll start noticing shifts in how you respond, how you relate, and how you care for yourself. I’m here to support both the breakthroughs and the moments where you feel stuck — both are part of the process. 6. Ongoing evaluation — adjusting as you grow Healing isn’t linear. We’ll check in regularly, celebrate progress, and adjust goals when needed, because as you
