With over 25 years of experience as a licensed therapist, I've had the privilege of working with individuals facing a wide range of challenges, including depression, anxiety, PTSD, addiction, and more. My journey in the mental health field has been both fulfilling and enlightening, and I am passionate about helping my clients navigate their unique paths to healing and growth. I hold a Master's degree in Counseling and am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). My approach to therapy is rooted in cognitive behavioral techniques, which I find incredibly effective in helping clients understand and change their thought patterns and behaviors. Building a strong rapport with my clients is at the heart of my practice, as I believe that a trusting and supportive therapeutic relationship is essential for meaningful progress. Throughout my career, I've specialized in working with individuals dealing with addiction, anger management, anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, eating disorders, grief and bereavement, LGBTQIA+ support, OCD, PTSD, stress, suicidal ideation and self-harming behaviors, trauma, antisocial behavior, ADHD, borderline personality disorder, family and intimate relationships, gender identity issues, phobias, psychosis and schizophrenia, sex and intimacy issues, sleep disorders, and traumatic brain injury. My goal is to provide a safe and non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings and develop the skills needed to overcome your challenges. I've lived and worked in Kansas City for over 19 years, having moved here from Texas, where I also worked as a licensed therapist. Kansas City has become my home, and I love being part of this vibrant community.
