Getting to know Sherri Carter

Hi my name is Sherri Carter. I am Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia. I have been licensed since 2014; however, I have been working in the behavioral health community since 2000. I have extensive work in crisis counseling and working with patient with depression and anxiety. I have work in the emergency room, inpatient behavioral health facility, and private practice. I have vast knowledge of therapeutic concepts for client to help client improve their mental health. I am trained in person centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing. I also work with clients with substance use disorders and anger management. My approach to counseling is to meet the client where they are in crisis or working through their problems. I created a safe environment for patient express themselves. My goal is to provide therapeutic environment for the patient to improve their coping skills.
