What should a new client know about working with you?

I am an authentic person, and that transfers to how I work with clients. I work with and for my clients, your journey is your journey, and if we are working together, it is important that I authentically understand your concerns, and authentically work to support you as you develop your journey to become your best self. I work with a number of modalities and enjoy finding the modality that speaks to you best. I have walked difficult journey's myself and understand how difficult it can be to feel understood, accepted and validated. It is my hope that with understanding and authenticity, we can create a working relationship that allows growth and success.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I work with clients (individuals, families, couples, children) in a variety of ways, including in-person, telehealth, and perhaps via more client centered/specific ways and places. I like to listen more than I like to talk, however, I do not believe that I am the expert. The clients I work with are now and always will be the experts on their own lives. Occasionally, I will share specific experiences I have had that may feel authentic and assist clients in their own journey. My methodology includes an intake questionnaire, and probably some standardized measures to assist with identifying and exploring what problems may be apparent or are unidentified. Talk therapy is the foundation of my working style and supplemented by EMDR, and various theories that support the presenting challenges faced by the client.
