“I am so excited to begin sessions, Stephanie seems absolutely amazing and so caring. The different resources offered and her many areas of expertise are astounding! As someone that’s dealing with ‘buried’ emotions I am very much looking forward to various ways we can dissect those and sort through my thoughts more coherently. I’d absolutely recommend this provider based on her caring nature, knowledgeability and willingness to cater to one’s varying level of needs. ”

Getting to know Stephanie Condra

You deserve great care, where all your experiences are welcome. I have been in practice for over 10 years and worked with thousands of patients across presenting issues and demographics. I know that sometimes taking the step to getting support and help in therapy seems overwhelming, and I celebrate you for being here! I also know that the experiences you've had leading up to exploring therapy have likely been even more overwhelming, and that you deserve to feel relief, comfort, and care for and from yourself. I specialize in working with grief, loss, transition, and relational traumas that have disrupted your sense of Self and your sense of joy and inspiration. I hold a Master’s in Professional Studies from Pratt Institute, which has enriched my approach to providing compassionate, individualized care.

What should a new client know about working with you?

In our work together, we can access creative imagination to envision and enact your pathway forward, through a psychodynamic, relational lens: meaning we will look at how you learned to be in the world through your relationship experiences, and choose new options based on that understanding. I use evidence based advancements in psychotherapy with the latest research in neuroscience and nervous system functioning, so we can rewire and repair at core levels of your daily living. Our sessions are able to be both highly verbal and analytical, as well as creative and calming, as we have options to integrate art making, symbolism, visualization, mindfulness & meditation, and bioenergetics as warranted and desired by your preferences and needs.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Know that therapy will challenge you to make sense of past and current conflict or loss in new and meaningful ways. At its core, therapy is the greatest gift you can give yourself, as it allows you to more fully unfold to yourself and your authentic truths and existence. It is a privilege to be trusted to share in this process, and I do so with gentleness, humor, and using insight orientation from your personal life story to glean new frames and ways of focusing. I am trauma-informed, social action oriented, holistic, and de-pathologizing in how I approach our shared humanness, and seek to treat your whole personhood. I also believe that sharing education on psychological development and language around diagnoses can be relieving and helpful along the way, and that defining these can open more choices for you as it can make sense of many prior experiences that have kept you feeling trapped or stuck--including feeling that way in the systems (healthcare, social, family, etc) of which we are all a part. I so look forward to exploring your journey forward with you, and defining the unique and personal steps in it that create greater resilience, hope, inspiration, and joy for you each and every day.
