Getting to know Stephanie Petersen

Hello! I'm Stephanie, a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in Michigan and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Missouri, with over 12 years of experience working with people of all ages and backgrounds. I earned my Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) from Oakland University and my Master of Social Work (MSW) from Wayne State University. My professional journey has taken me through various roles, including medical social work in hospital settings and home health care. Since 2020, I've been dedicated to providing telehealth therapy from Missouri, helping clients navigate their mental health journeys from the comfort of their own homes. My areas of focus include grief and loss, adjusting to illness, life changes, family and relationship conflicts, stress and anxiety, self-esteem, and addiction. As an eclectic therapist, I specialize in cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness. I believe in teaching coping skills that empower you to help yourself. Together, we will explore your past experiences and analyze your thoughts to foster self-awareness and personal growth. I strive to be your nonjudgmental cheerleader, supporting you as you overcome personal challenges and achieve your goals. When I'm not working, I enjoy reading, traveling, watching movies, listening to music, practicing martial arts, gardening, and playing with my French Bulldogs. I look forward to getting to know you and helping you live your best life. Let's take this journey together!
