Psychotherapist
MD
I believe therapy is not about “fixing” people, but about creating a space that encourages self-care, self-exploration, and growth. I welcome my clients to show up exactly as they are, while I provide a nonjudgmental, supportive, and empowering environment. I guide and support clients using a trauma-informed and strength-focused approach, specializing in anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. I offer a variety of therapeutic approaches to help clients identify challenges and develop effective strategies to manage them. I was drawn to psychology during my undergraduate studies after taking a class that sparked my curiosity about human behavior. As I learned more, I became especially interested in individuals who struggle internally and battle with themselves. Growing up in Brooklyn, NYC, I often felt sad and alone and wished I had someone to talk to about those feelings. Attending undergrad brought those memories back, and I knew I wanted to become a vessel for others to offer the support I once needed. I am deeply passionate about helping children, adolescents, and adults find a safe space where they can simply be themselves and feel heard. In my work, I prioritize building rapport and establishing a safe, trusting therapeutic relationship. I am trained as a trauma-informed therapist and work well with adolescents and adults. I am intuitive in my approach and allow the client to guide the direction of therapy. Both traditional and non-traditional homework may be offered to support growth between sessions.
