Their CA license number is 141291, and their current employer is Remarkable Services. Tamara earned a Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy from California State University, East Bay. Sometimes life is hard, and it can feel like too much to handle alone. I may not have experienced exactly what you're going through, but I'm here to listen. My name is Tamara, and I view therapy as a collaborative effort where I support you on a journey of self-discovery, healing, and personal growth. My goal is to help you create and pursue a life you want that honors your values, allows you to embrace your authentic self, enhance your personal relationships, and experience more joy. As human beings, we often confuse self-defeating thoughts or behaviors that stem from historical trauma and fears with who we are as individuals, and as a result, we may inadvertently reinforce them. I guide my clients in stepping beyond ingrained thinking and emotional patterns that have become so familiar they often go unrecognized. Together, we can uncover these patterns so you are able to make choices that resonate more deeply with your true self. Therapy is most helpful when we can explore our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental environment. I focus on creating a warm and empathetic space where you can feel heard and understood. As an integrative therapist, I draw on a variety of therapeutic modalities tailored to each client's needs. My approach is strengths-based and client-centered. I often work from an emotionally focused, attachment-based, humanistic lens and have specialized training in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based approaches, and trauma-informed care.
