I am Tamara Meadows, a Licensed Professional Counselor, Master Addiction Counselor, and Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor. For over a decade, I have served as a mental health professional, working with individuals of all ages. I am passionate about helping individuals battling mental health conditions such as depression and anxiety. I also specialize in providing support and education for women with PCOS --who are often misdiagnosed, overlooked, and misunderstood.
My approach
My counseling style is warm, supportive, and person-centered. I ensure that my clients feel heard. I use evidence-based theoretical approaches that include Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Reality Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Therapy.
My focus
I serve individuals suffering from anxiety, depression, low self-esteem and low self-worth, relationship stressors, anger management issues, difficulty adjusting to life's transitions, stress management, and work-related stressors. I also work with clients suffering from PCOS.
My communication style
As your therapist, I will meet you where you are and assist you in learning emotional tools to increase self-care, positive self-talk and decrease anxiety, stress, and depression. As my client, you will be seen and understood because you and your feelings are valid and matters. So, let's begin this meaningful work of building the life you deserve.
