Hi, I'm Taryn. I support clients across all ages and abilities with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, self-esteem, multiracial identities, and mobility challenges. My experience ranges from coaching executive functioning skills in youth to clinical training at Helen Keller Services, where I worked with individuals who are blind, visually impaired, and living with physical and intellectual disabilities.
I earned my Master’s degree in Dance/Movement Therapy from Pratt Institute and my Bachelors degree from Quinnipiac University.
I use movement-based techniques, arts-based directives, along with talk therapy to help people better understand their feelings and experiences in a creative lens. I focus on the connection between the body and mind, helping clients feel more in control and supported. My sessions are paced to match each person’s comfort level, creating a calm space for healing and personal growth.
What should a new client know about working with you?
Taryn is a white-passing person of mixed heritage. Her lived experiences as multiracial and multiethnic has informed her awareness of privilege and belonging. This is why she is passionate about providing a safe space for clients' intersectional identities to be seen, heard, and held.
She uses both verbal and nonverbal communication for emotional processing and fosters a safe space for you to explore and express yourself. Whether you are interested in individual, couples, or group therapy, Taryn will provide supportive services that meet you where you are.

She really put me at ease. It was a great appointment and I'm looking forward to my next one. I haven’t always had the best luck finding someone I feel comfortable with but this was great for me.

Taryn is thoughtful, skilled, and truly compassionate. She created a safe, supportive space and genuinely listened to me. I’ve made more progress in a few sessions with Taryn than I have in years! I could not recommend more. She is amazing!
