What should a new client know about working with you?

My counseling style is rooted in empathy, collaboration, and flexibility. I believe in meeting each client exactly where they are—emotionally, mentally, and situationally. Every session begins with a check-in to understand what is currently going on in the client’s life, how they’re feeling, and what has brought them to the session. This helps ground our work in the present and allows us to build from their current state of mind. I take time to explore what strategies the client has already attempted, acknowledging their efforts while identifying what has or hasn’t worked. This allows us to avoid repeating ineffective approaches and instead focus on developing new, tailored ways to cope with stress, regulate emotions, and manage or resolve conflict. From there, we collaboratively identify personal goals and areas the client wants to improve, whether it's emotional stability, relationships, parenting, self-esteem, or other areas of concern. Together, we create a treatment plan that aligns with the client’s individual needs and definitions of success—not a one-size-fits-all approach, but a personalized path forward.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Throughout the process, I integrate a range of therapeutic techniques, primarily drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), all while maintaining a client-centered, strengths-based perspective. My goal is to empower clients to feel heard, supported, and equipped with the tools to make meaningful and lasting change.

Nice Woman, Great Listener

I mean she was nice a listening in. But like for video calls, I was expecting to see face-to-face. But she had her camera off the entire time so it was kind of awkward for me.

Very kind!

Was never given the link to my appointment, and although I booked on zocdoc, they gave my appointment slot away. I don’t think the actual therapist has anything to do with it, however I wouldn’t recommend that office
