What should a new client know about working with you?

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and my goal is to make that process feel as comfortable and supportive as possible. I strive to create the same sense of connection, safety, and collaboration you would experience in an in-person setting. Telehealth sessions with me are structured, secure, and intentionally engaging. They are also interactive and practical, blending conversation with measurement- and evidence-based strategies and interventions you can apply in your daily life. You can expect clear guidance and a supportive space to work through challenges – whether you’re navigating stress, life transitions, emotional concerns, or long-standing patterns. Telehealth allows flexibility while maintaining a focused, professional therapeutic experience designed to support real-world and lasting change. My approach is measurement–based, evidence-based, and flexible. I draw primarily from ACT, DBT, CBT, and Adlerian principles and techniques. This means we’ll explore how thoughts, emotions, behaviors, values, and life experiences (including family of origin experiences) interact while also focusing on practical tools you can use outside of sessions. I also often incorporate psychoeducation and skills-based strategies to help you gain insight and build resilience and confidence.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Telehealth sessions with me are structured, secure, and engaging. I offer a free 15-minute consultation call, prior to scheduling an intake appointment, to help determine whether we are a good fit for working together and to answer any initial questions about the therapy process. The initial (intake) appointment is approximately 90 minutes and focuses on understanding your concerns, reviewing relevant history, and identifying treatment goals, while also orienting you to the telehealth process. When appropriate, clinical discussion and brief screening tools may be used to inform treatment planning. Ongoing sessions are approximately 60 minutes and include a brief check-in followed by focused therapeutic work using measurement-based care strategies and evidence-based talk therapy approaches. Sessions may involve skill-building, emotional processing, or problem-solving, depending on your needs. I collaborate with clients to monitor progress and adjust treatment as needed to support meaningful change.

More information on payments and coverage

I accept a variety of insurance plans, and coverage is determined by each client’s individual policy. Clients are encouraged to verify benefits directly with their insurance provider, including copays, deductibles, coinsurance, and telehealth coverage. Payment is due at the time of service. Copays, deductibles, and non-covered services are the responsibility of the client, and insurance claims are submitted when applicable. Self-pay potions are available, and limited sliding scale availability may be offered in some cases. A valid payment method (i.e., a credit or debit card) is required to be kept on file. Cancellations or rescheduling must be made at least 24 hours in advance to avoid a late cancellation or no-show fee. The late cancellation or no-show fee is $75. Clients are welcome to reach out with questions about coverage or payment prior to scheduling.
