Hello, I’m Therese. I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor based in Southern Minnesota. I work with adults who are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from themselves or their relationships, and who are seeking meaningful, sustainable change. I support individuals navigating depression, anxiety, relationship challenges, chronic illness, and loneliness. I have a particular interest in working with clients who feel trapped and struggle with all sorts of life transitions.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and non-judgmental. With a background as a Registered Dietitian in addition to my mental health training, I bring a whole-person perspective to care. I understand how emotional health, physical health, and life experiences are deeply interconnected, and I help clients explore these patterns in a way that feels supportive, not overwhelming.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I strive to create a calm, safe space where you can speak openly, feel understood, and build insight and skills that fit your real life. Whether you’re working through depression or anxiety, relationship stress, the emotional impact of chronic illness, or something else entirely, we’ll move at a pace that feels right for you. You don’t need to have everything figured out to begin therapy. If you’re looking for a therapist who listens deeply and takes a thoughtful, whole-person approach, I’d be honored to support you.
