Psychotherapist
TX
Hello, I'm Tim, a Licensed Professional Counselor focused on helping clients improve their mental health and overall life. I primarily use cognitive behavior therapy and work with clients to create attainable and effective results during our healing journey. My approach I use cognitive, humanistic, person-centered, and solution-focused therapies in most sessions. My focus I work with clients facing anxiety, depression, anger, trauma, grief and loss, and stress. My communication style I adapt my communication style to best serve my clients, working to develop a rapport that strengthens throughout sessions. My journey to mental healthcare After Army service, a Clinical Therapist encouraged me to become one due to the need for more Veteran counselors. I earned an A.S. and B.S. from the University of Phoenix, a Master's in Human Relations, and a Master's in Clinical Health Services at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. While studying, I worked as a Behavior Technician, Registered Behavior Technician, and Intake Specialist providing supervised counseling. After graduation, I became a Behavioral Health Support Provider, offering counseling and writing treatment plans, and started my private practice. My goals for you I aim to provide support and aid as needed in your progression. Together, we will develop plans and skills to improve your journey's success. My first session with you The first session is relaxed, focused on getting to know each other to ensure a proper fit and discussing your goals.
