Getting to know Timothy Dunn

Therapy provides an outlet for those to be heard and understood while working on their wellbeing. I enjoy working with all clients, especially those vulnerable such as adolescents. It is my goal to show clients how beneficial therapy can be in issues that affect them directly or ones yet to be understood

What should a new client know about working with you?

I am a cognitive-behavioral therapist by trade/education however, I utilize several treatment modalities in order to appropriately treat the nuance of each case. I consider myself very curious so I find asking clarifying questions to be very helpful to properly getting to know "you".

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Upon starting, I use different assessments and questions in order to better create a treatment plan (all alongside one another). From there, a combination of occasional homework, recurring sessions on a timely basis, and openness/honesty lead to a fruitful start to the therapeutic process. With that being said, I honor a client-centered approach meaning "you" are able to lead the work where you want it to go.
