I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and an honorable combat military veteran. I’m nearing completion of my Doctor of Education in Community Care and Counseling with a specialization in Traumatology. I have earned a Master’s degree in Professional Counseling and a Master’s degree in Human Services Counseling, both from Liberty University, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism with a concentration in Public Relations. I have extensive experience in community and clinic settings, having engaged in therapeutic day treatment, intensive in-home services, parenting aid, mentoring, crisis intervention, crisis stabilization, outpatient therapy, and substance abuse treatment and counseling. My counseling philosophy focuses on your present and future. I use goal-oriented questioning to help you move toward a future-focused direction, reducing negative thinking and behaviors, increasing motivation and resiliency, and supporting you to become a healthier, happier person. I take a holistic approach to counseling, promoting a healthy integration of mind, body, and spirit. My multicultural approach to therapy is shaped by extensive travels and living in different cultures, allowing me to understand diverse human experiences from various perspectives. I am especially understanding and culturally sensitive to East Asian cultures, having lived in several East Asian countries and developed a deep appreciation for their beliefs and philosophies. Many of my clients’ successful therapy outcomes are attributed to my dynamic and unique life experiences. I provide genuine warmth, honesty, empathy, support, and care to my clients. Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
