NOTE: I use Headway, a secure and HIPAA-compliant third-party software to assist with administrative work and billing so that my focus remains on our therapeutic work. Once you book through ZocDoc, you will receive an introductory email inviting you to your Headway Patient Portal, through which you can complete relevant telehealth forms, mental health assessments, and communicate directly with me re: scheduling conflicts, appointment changes/requests, or anything else. Thank you for reading. Your search for a therapist is already a significant achievement. In a culture that confuses material productivity with self-worth, seeking out a place to pause, reflect, and process through life's many challenges might be considered wasteful. But good news! Nothing could be further from the truth. The reality is that we need nonjudgmental, supportive places where we can look into our lives with curiosity, intentionality, and compassion. Prior to opening my private practice in March 2025, I ran a mental health intensive outpatient group therapy program for a local hospital for 3.5 years, working with folks struggling with severe mental health symptoms. This period significantly shaped me as a therapist, teaching me that the health of the therapeutic relationship can be the most significant catalyst for healing in clients' lives. I am committed to ensuring that therapy is a healthy, supportive, worthwhile, challenging (but not harsh), compassionate, encouraging place for you to explore all that you need to explore while you move toward greater satisfaction and fulfillment in your life.

What should a new client know about working with you?

One of the many things that make us unique is our ability to pause and acknowledge narratives we hold about our lives that may not be serving us well. Illuminating barriers to a fuller, more compassionate view of self can be daunting. But it's some of the most important work you could ever do for yourself. You're deserving of a fulfilled life! I work from an integrative, trauma-informed, client-centered approach, tailoring therapy to best serve each client. Therapeutic modalities frequently used include: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT); Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT); Narrative Therapy; Attachment work; Mindfulness interventions; Imago Therapy (for couples); Exposure-Response Prevention; psychoeducation. I have experience working with trauma survivors (PTSD), people with depression (MDD), anxiety disorders (GAD, OCD, Panic Disorder, among others), Bipolar I and II disorders, Adjustment disorders, Borderline Personality Disorder. I'm devoted to ongoing continuing education so that my skill sets remain sharp and my therapeutic 'toolbox' is always expanding.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I want to hear about you, your story, and what has brought you to therapy. You're the expert on your experience. However, there may be unhelpful beliefs inhibiting a full, thorough exploration of that experience. My approach is one of curiosity: when I hear absolutes that may be walling off access to one's experience (for example, "I'll never be good enough"), I will spend time validating the emotional charge behind those statements while gently challenging them and integrating evidence that contributes to a fuller, more accurate, and less shame-based view of self. Our identities can't be reduced to a single negative statement--we're far too complex for that to be true, and that's very good news.
