“Tyler is fantastic. My appointments with him have helped me get through an incredibly challenging time in my life and I’m very grateful for his support during that. He is easy going, understanding, and insightful. What set Tyler apart from other counselors is his ability to question and challenge the negative beliefs I’ve always held about myself and the world around me. That alone has been eye opening and life changing, as it really allowed me to dig into my past and connect the dots that I couldn’t see before. He does this with so much compassion and professionalism and it’s been wonderful to have that safe space in a chaotic world. I highly recommend working with Tyler if you want a counselor who encourages you to dig deep into your own feelings and supports you when those feelings are a little hard to examine. He is excellent at his career and I’m grateful for his help. ”

Getting to know Tyler White

After graduating from Azusa Pacific University with my bachelor's degree in Christian Ministries, I spent three years living in Turkey working with Middle Eastern refugees. This experience inspired me to pursue a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, which I earned from Denver Seminary in 2022. As a therapist, I draw from various modalities, including person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), internal family systems (IFS), and attachment theory. I also integrate other approaches when I believe they will best support the clients I work with.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach to counseling is heavily influenced by my own life experiences and perspective on hardship. Mainly, that people have an incredible ability to heal and grow, not despite, but directly out of their traumatic experiences. I look at therapy as one of many tools that can be utilized to help people grow and progress. I have seen this in my own life and many of current and former clients' lives.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Session rate is $130 per session. Additionally, I am always willing to provide a detailed superbill for you to submit to your insurance in order to utilize your out-of-network benefits.

I am very grateful for Tyler’s help. He is an excellent listener and very patient, while also asking questions that open up the conversation and force you to really think about what you are saying. I particularly appreciate his approach of not saying “I think you should do this,” but instead pressing you to think through what actions might help move you towards a goal. Even in that, he is still willing to offer a framework or guidance for thinking through those actions.
I came to Tyler extremely discouraged about where I was, desperate for change. What Tyler does so well is help me realize the good that exists in my life, he listens well and offers his counsel in a strategic way where his questions are very timely and worth their weight in gold. Tyler's ability to ask great questions draws out the root issues that are going on. I've been very thankful as I see that Tyler is multi faceted in his skillset, he is able to quickly pivot and is willing to explore other areas of the soul that might deviate from the original reason specified for seeking his counsel. I've been very blessed to have Tyler as my counselor and highly recommend his services.
Tyler and I have been working on my care or almost a year now and I have been able to find out things about myself that I would have never thought of before. I am able to look at things a lot differently and healthier. Tyler has helped me be a better me.
Tyler was very helpful, clear, polite, and thoughtful as a therapist. He clearly articulated how he approaches therapy along with his practice's main goals, guidelines, etc. in our introductory call. Since starting with Tyler he's been professional, supportive, and pleasant in everything we have covered. He's always on time and respects both of our time.
Tyler is exceptional. He's incredibly approachable especially with difficult subjects, and offers both compassionate, and and clinical support for dealing with the tough stuff. I very much appreciate my time with Tyler and have found it to be incredibly beneficial in bettering me as a person, and my relationships.
Great work in all aspects. Helps work through any issue you may face and gives great methods to work through any problems you may be facing in your life. -Highly recommend Tyler!
Tyler is a very professional and empathetic counselor. He does an excellent job and has given great action steps and helped me to process things effectively to grow and heal. I highly recommend him.
Tyler is great! He is such a great listener and I always leave there feeling like I have new tools to help me. He is very professional and I would highly recommend him.
Tyler White is the best therapist I have ever seen. He clearly communicates and listens while also encouraging further discussions. One thing that particularly impacted my life was his ability to analyze the issues present and challenge me with daily, practical, tools to overcome and push myself to grow. I always felt heard and respected which are things that I highly value in a therapy environment. Tyler always made sure that I was comfortable and that he prioritized what I felt needed to be worked on in my life. Overall, I could not recommend anyone more highly than I do Tyler. He helped me overcome challenges in every aspect of my life whether that was school, relationships, mental struggles, or even just finding healthy life habits. I'm so grateful for my experience!
Tyler White asks questions that encourage reflection and challenge harmful thought patterns. He explains concepts and ideas in a way that is understandable, and helps empower the patient to conclude what their next step should be, rather than telling them exactly what to do and removing personal agency.
Tyler is caring and patient. he handles all sorts of issues with professionalism and true concern. anyone would be lucky to have him as their counselor.
I really enjoyed working with him, he was very encouraging to me and was very helpful. He always helped me expand on what I was trying to talk about.
