Psychotherapist
2701 1st Ave, Ste 120, Seattle, WA
We need help to feel secure in, trust, and make sense of our emotional experiences. When we don't get the help we need, we can feel stuck, insecure, anxious, depressed, or hopeless. Over time, this often leads to patterns of feeling emotionally dead, chronically overstimulated, or simply out of touch with oneself. Therapy is a kind of relationship in which we are able to recover our own sense of self by exploring those emotional experiences, large or small, that for whatever reason come to mind, stay with us, and make us pay attention to them. The goal of psychotherapy is, plainly said, psychological growth. This means having the capacity to tolerate pain, confusion, and frustration in order to learn from our experiences and relate to our own sense of self, which feels alive and real. I offer an attachment-based, psychodynamic therapy focusing on the therapeutic relationship as a catalyst for change. I hold a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology, which informs my approach and commitment to fostering meaningful therapeutic connections.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Psychodynamic therapy offers a deeper level of exploration, addressing the unconscious roots of your struggles. While this process can be challenging at times, it also holds the potential for transformative change, leading to lasting improvements in your relationships, emotional well-being, and overall quality of life.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My therapeutic approach is influenced by psychoanalysis, which emphasizes the importance of deep exploration and understanding of unconscious patterns. To facilitate this process, I often recommend meeting multiple times a week when feasible. This allows us to dive deeper into your experiences, maintain momentum in our work, and create a more intensive therapeutic experience.
