With over a decade in the mental health field, I've had the privilege of working with clients of all ages and backgrounds, addressing a wide range of concerns. My clinical experience is diverse, from directing an addictions counseling clinic and working at a family counseling center during my doctoral program to providing intensive in-home counseling and international trauma counseling. I've also interned at a nonprofit organization offering outpatient services to mandated clients and served as a therapeutic day treatment intern, as well as an elementary and middle school counseling intern. My counseling style is warm, empathic, genuine, non-judgmental, collaborative, and relational. I believe in a culturally sensitive approach grounded in humanistic theories like person-centered theory and motivational interviewing. I also integrate psychodynamic theories, such as object-relations and attachment theory, and can tailor my methods to your needs, drawing from narrative, solution-focused, cognitive-behavioral, and mindfulness-based approaches. Together, we will work collaboratively to achieve your goals, whatever they may be.
